Brian French
A US Army veteran, Brian French has extensive training in first-aid, weapons, survival techniques and chemical/biological warfare. Following his military service, French graduated from business school and spent six years working in the insurance industry tracking risks and losses associated with natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes. Kevin Baum
Kevin Baum is an accomplished survivalist with 22 years of fire service experience. During his tenure as a professional firefighter, Kevin served as a master rescue technician for special rescues including high-angle rescue, cave rescue, confined space rescue, wilderness rescue, and field medicine. An avid outdoorsman, Baum has climbed many of the classic alpine routes on glaciated peaks throughout the northern hemisphere. Kevin is also the co-creator of an internationally successful campaign designed to educate families and business on the importance early detection and emergency prevention. French and Baum started SurvivalOutpost.com to provide practical equipment and resources to help people prepare for and survive emergencies and natural or man-made disasters. Their Motto is simple, “To Balance Reason with Readiness.” This motto recognizes that disaster preparation should be taken seriously, but should also be based on a sound assessment of risk and potential consequence as it relates to hazards in your area. Be prepared, but don’t sell the farm.
